Botox FAQ's
What is Botox Cosmetic?
Botox® is the most well know and trusted non-surgical treatment designed to smooth the deep, persistent lines on your forehead, frown lines and pesky crows feet. One treatment of only a few tiny injections relaxes the muscles that cause those lines to form and keeps them relaxed up to four months. Results are visible in as little 2-3 days with no down time, full results can take up to 14 days. Come in and discover the proven results 11 million Men and Women have already experienced.
How Does Botox Cosmetic Work?
Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medicine injected into specific muscles to block nerve impulses in treated area. Botox Cosmetic is produced from Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which is a natural, purified protein that attaches to nerve endings and blocks the neurotransmitter signals that trigger muscle contractions that cause fine lines and wrinkles giving a relaxed, more youthful appearance.
Is Botox Cosmetic Safe?
Botox Cosmetic has been widely considered one of the safest cosmetic procedures available. Although the majority side effects are rare and temporary we always recommend consulting with your practitioner with any questions or concerns. While most people will experience no side effects from a Botox® injection, some possible side effects may include bruising, swelling, nausea, headaches and muscle weakness. For a complete list of potential side effects, please visit the Botox® Cosmetic website.
Will My Facial Expressions Continue to Look Natural?
Although the results are visible, a treatment with Botox® Cosmetic will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you "had work done." The muscle activity that causes frown lines between the brows is simply reduced, so you can still frown or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases between your brows.

What should I expect during my complimentary consultation?
Prior to any Botox® Cosmetic treatment, you will receive a complimentary consultation to assess your treatment goals, answer all of your questions and determine if you can successfully be treated with Botox®. After examining your skin, your medical practitioner will assess your muscle movement by asking you to frown or smile. Based on your muscle movement, your practitioner will advise you on approximately how many units of Botox® will be needed to achieve your desired goal.
What will happen to the frown lines between my brows if I choose not to continue treatments?
If you do not continue treatments, the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows will gradually look like they did before treatment.
